With so much focus on the apparent intention of LSU coach Lane Kiffin to bring back players who spent time with 90-man NFL rosters, a pair of Indiana players won a ruling on Friday that allows them to return to the school.

Via ESPN, Judge Kara Krothe issued the temporary restraining order prohibiting the NCAA and any conferences from prohibiting the players from competing during the 2026-27 season.

Wrote Judge Krothe: “To be clear, it is the Court’s intention to place Plaintiffs in the position they were in at the end of their last college sports season. As long as they would have been eligible, academically and otherwise, to continue playing college sports in the following semester if they had a fifth year of eligibility, they are eligible today.”

Another hearing is set for September 11.
