Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was cited for speeding on a Cleveland interstate last month and pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning, according to court records.

According to Fox8, which reported the speeding ticket, Watson was cited for allegedly driving 86 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-480 on Aug. 26.

A bench trial is scheduled for Sept. 23, four days before the Browns' home opener against the Carolina Panthers in Week 3.

Watson, 30, was named the Browns' Week 1 starter at quarterback after a training camp competition with Shedeur Sanders.
