The Miami Dolphins Have Officially Started OTAS!

The Miami Dolphins are diving right into the offseason program, and they're not the only ones. On Monday, the Dolphins joined more than two dozen teams across the league, including the Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots, just to name a few.

Teams with new coaches like the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos got to start their offseason program two weeks early. They're gonna need all the help they can get. But let's keep our focus on the Dolphins. Monday marked the official start of Phase One of the offseason program at the Baptist Health Training Complex. This phase will last for two weeks and include meetings, strength and conditioning, and rehabilitation, but no field work.

So, no need to bust out the footballs just yet. Just a quick reminder, the entire offseason workout program is voluntary, except for the mandatory minicamp scheduled for June 6 through 8. But some players, like Xavien Howard, Tyreek Hill, and Bradley Chubb, have extra incentive to attend because of their workout bonuses. Who doesn't love a little extra dough, am I right?

Phase Two of the offseason program will last for three weeks and will feature individual and group drills on the field, but still no offense vs. defense work. Phase Three will start on May twenty-second and will include OTAs and the mandatory minicamp. Now, what's really interesting about the Dolphins' offseason schedule is that they're only using six out of the ten allowed OTA's. That's tied for the fewest with the Eagles, Browns, and Bengals. But don't worry, Dolphins fans, they'll still be wrapping up their offseason program on June 8, just like nine other teams.

And finally, because the Dolphins don't have a first-year coach, they won't be having a voluntary veteran minicamp this year. But hey, with all the other action happening, who's got time for that anyway? It's time to get back to work and make some waves in the upcoming season!
